Penang.

Our first stop in Malaysia was Penang, Leila’s uncle lives here and we stayed for around ten days enjoying the Chinese New Year celebrations. It’s a great Province and there is loads to do from walks in the national parks to amazing arty shops and cafe’s in George Town. We got to explore most of the island but didn’t get ourselves up Penang Hill due to it being so packed because of Chinese New Year. We got to sample great food, enjoyed Entopia the butterfly house and had a couple of walks around George Town. We stayed the whole time with Leila’s uncle but we have heard that ‘Tipsy Tiger Hostel’ is meant to be really good. Heres our top places and a few tips for Penang.
